The budget session of the 8th assembly of Delhi is starting from Monday 24 March. This session will run till 28 March. During this time there can be a sharp debate about the CAG report and Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Also many important financial and policy decisions will be taken.

The first budget of the BJP government of Delhi will be presented on 25 March. In this, the budget of old schemes of the previous government can be increased. At the same time, the announcement of allocation of funds for development works is also possible as per the promise made in the resolution letter.

CAG report will be presented on the first day

During the budget session, the report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) related to Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will also be presented. This will be the third CAG report, which will be introduced in this session.

BJP’s first budget in Delhi after 26 years

The BJP government of Delhi will present the first budget on March 25 after 26 years. Next, the budget will be discussed in detail on 26 March. All MLAs will share their opinion and response to the government’s plans and policies in the assembly. On March 27, the assembly will be voted after a debate on the budget.

Discussion on private bill on March 28

Private bills and proposals will be discussed on March 28 on the last day of the budget session in the Delhi Assembly. This day has been set for issues that are not included in the government’s main agenda, but are important for MLAs. Question hour will be held on 24, 26, 27 and 28 March, in which the minister will answer questions related to different departments.
