Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the above CDPO and his peon have been arrested on the complaint of Mamata, a resident of village Riwana Niwan in Fatehgarh Sahib district.
Giving further details, he said that the said complainant had approached the Vigilance Bureau and alleged that the above two employees had demanded a bribe of Rs 35,000 for hiring him on the vacant post of Anganwadi Helper for which he had already applied. has happened
The spokesman said that after the preliminary investigation of this complaint, a team of the Vigilance Bureau laid a trap and arrested the two accused on the spot after taking Rs 20,000 as bribe from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses.
In this regard, a case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against both the accused in the police station Patiala range of the Vigilance Bureau. Further investigation of this case is ongoing.
