Bribery case: Court extends AAP MLA Amit Rattan’s remand | Punjab

Chandigarh, February 27: A local court on Monday extended the police remand of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Bathinda Rural Amit Rattan in a bribery case.

The Court has extended the remand by four days.

On February 23, the AAP MLA was apprehended by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) in Patiala. His arrest came just a week after his close aide Rashim Garg was caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 4 lakhs on February 16.

In the afternoon, Rattan was produced in court by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) amid tight security.
