Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor’s mother Nirmal Kapoor died at the age of 90. He breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Friday, 2 May. His last rites will be performed at Vile Parle crematorium at 11:30 am today. Nirmal Kapoor was running unwell for the last few months. He was admitted to the hospital several times due to health related problems.
Boney Kapoor has shared a post on his Instagram, in which he has paid tribute to his mother. He wrote, ‘On May 2, 2025, Nirmala Kapoor breathed a peacefully among her family. He lived a happy and full life. Four children, beloved daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, eleven grandchildren, four-grandson and a lot of memories are left behind them. His affection and kindness touched every person who was close to him. She will always be alive in our hearts, always remembered. ‘
Surinder Kapoor and Nirmal Kapoor took place in 1955
In 1955, filmmakers Surinder Kapoor and Nirmal Kapoor were married. They have four children, including three sons, Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor and a daughter Reena Kapoor. She was the grandmother of Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
