A bomb was thrown at the house of a local BJP leader near Kannapuram in Kannur, Kerala. The police gave this information on Thursday. The incident took place late on Wednesday around 2:30 pm. BJP leader Viju Narayanan’s parents were at home at the time of the incident.
Police said that there were no casualties in the incident, but the windows of the house and some walls have been damaged. A case has been registered against unknown persons and investigation has been started.
Police also said that it has deployed bombs and dog squad to find clues in the BJP leader’s residential premises and surrounding areas. After the incident, the BJP accused the CPI (M) of being a hand behind the attack, although the Left party denied the allegations.The BJP also accused the police of collusion in the case and claimed that the police did not pay attention to the complaints of the party.
