Bomb stumble in Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express, later news came out ‘fake’, train left for destination

The Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express going from Delhi to Durg was stopped at Jhansi railway station here with a delay of about an hour, as it was threatened with a bomb. It was later revealed that it was a rumor. Officials gave this information on Saturday.After receiving information about the bomb, a thorough investigation was conducted at Jhansi railway station and the train was sent to the destination about an hour after no suspicious item was found.

Officials gave this information on Saturday. According to officials, 12824 Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express left Hazrat Nizamuddin at around 6 pm on Friday, after which an unknown person called and informed that the bomb was placed in the sleeper compartment of this train.

He said that as soon as the information was received, the officials of the railway control room in Lucknow became alert and in view of security, the train was stopped at the next stop at Veerangana Laxmibai station in Jhansi and preparations were started for investigation. District Magistrate Pramod Jha along with Superintendent of Police (Railway) Vipul Kumar Srivastava, Railway Police Force (RPF) Commandant Vivekananda Narayan and security officials completely evacuated the platform number two and three of the station.

Officials said that other trains coming here were sent to another platform and preparations were started for the investigation of Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti. During this time RPF dog squad and bomb disposal squad were also called. The train reached Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi station at 11.11 pm, delaying about nine minutes from its scheduled time.

All the coaches of the train were thoroughly examined but no suspicious item was found in any coach and the train was sent to the destination at 12 Bajrak after about 54 minutes. RPF Commandant Vivekananda Narayan said that a thorough investigation was done with the point of view of security on receiving the information of the bomb in the Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti.
