Telugu actor Vijay Devarakonda has openly expressed his opinion on the current condition of the Hindi film industry. While Bollywood’s box office results remain a matter of concern, the dominance of South Cinema is constantly increasing.
Amidst this debate, Vijay believes that all this is part of a cycle and soon Hindi cinema will also return with new enthusiasm.

This is just a cycle
Vijay said in a conversation with News 9, ‘The South Film Industry is still in a great phase. But this is just a cycle. There was a time when you didn’t even know us.
There was a time when Indian cinema made a tremendous identity and reached the international audience. Now this is the time of South Cinema. After 5 or 10 years, there will be some new change again.

Hindi cinema will get a new era Vijay believes that Hindi cinema will soon watch a new phase, where new filmmakers will take it forward. He said, ‘This change will bring new filmmakers to come out, which will make Hindi cinema strong again. Very soon Hindi cinema will get new directors and storytellers, who will probably be outside Mumbai.
I believe that they will come from Hindi speaking areas and make completely different types of films. His storytelling will also be different from South.

‘Bahubali’ recognized
Vijay gave the example of Bahubali and told how S. S. Rajamouli gave Telugu cinema global identity through this film.
He said, ‘Telugu cinema had to struggle a lot to reach big audiences. When S. S. Rajamouli made Bahubali, so he invested heavily on two such actors, whom the Hindi film industry could not even know. If the film did not run, then a lot of career could have ended.
Producers would have had a big loss and the actors had given 5 years for only one film. This was a huge risk for everyone. But such a fight has to be fought. I think Hindi cinema will also find its way. All this is part of life.
