A case of death of a sarpanch’s mother -in -law under suspicious circumstances has come to light in Phagwara, Kapurthala. The body of 65 -year -old Ram Pyari was recovered from his house in village Hardaspur. The deceased’s son and sarpanch husband have accused him of murder after robbery.

On receiving information about the incident, SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti and DSP reached the spot with Bharat Bhushan Police Force. A case has been registered on the statement of Mandeep Kaur, the younger daughter -in -law of the deceased in the police station Satnampura. According to the DSP, no injury or wound mark has been found on the body of the deceased.
The deceased was the mother -in -law of BJP’s sarpanch Balwinder Kaur. She lived with her daughter -in -law at her younger son’s house. His brother -in -law lives abroad. She was alone at home due to her daughter -in -law going to her maternal home. PG students live on the first floor of the house.
The robbers broke the locks of the shelves
Sarpanch husband Binder Kumar alleges that the robbers entered the house and broke the shelves and lockers. He said that the robbers took 35 tole gold, 5000 euros and cash worth Rs 2.5 lakh. The incident was discovered when the deceased did not respond on the phone of the son living abroad.
According to the SP, the real cause of death will be clear only after the post -mortem report comes.

He said that the police have sent the body to the civil hospital for post -mortem. Raj will be revealed only after the postmortem report comes.
