N Ravikumar has apologized for his communal remarks. Describing it as an emotional impulse, he should have escaped, Ravikumar said that the BJP is a responsible party and his comments do not match his character. He said, “It was an emotional comment. I should not have said so. BJP is a responsible central ruling party. It was not right to make such comments on my behalf. I want to apologize for my comment.”
The judge commented that these statements are not worth making. You have seen what happened to an existing minister in Madhya Pradesh and Supreme Court. You are also not different, you cannot give such statements. This reference was of a recent incident in Madhya Pradesh, where Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah made communal comments about Colonel Sophia Qureshi, an officer of the Indian Army, who led the briefing during Operation Sindoor.
