At the same time, while addressing a public meeting in Kolkata, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that I have come at a time when preparations for Durga Puja have started. From Bada Bazaar to Park Street, Kolkata is busy preparing and decorating the festival. When the celebration of development is also added to this festival of happiness and faith, happiness doubles. He said that West Bengal is one of the largest states in the country in terms of population. Therefore, until the strength of West Bengal increases, the journey to developed India will not be successful. Because BJP believes, BJP has reverence – when Bengal rises, then only developed India will be formed.
The Prime Minister said that in the last 11 years, the BJP government at the Center has given all kinds of help for the development of West Bengal. The UPA government of the Congress had given the money for the construction of the National Highway in Bengal in its 10 years. Our Government of India has given more than 3 times the money to Bengal. The budget of Bengal for Railways has also been increased three times as compared to before. However, there is a big challenge in front of development works in Bengal. The challenge is that most of the money we send to the state government for Bengal … most of the part of it is looted here. That money is spent on TMC cadre. Therefore, in many schemes of poor welfare, Bengal … is backward from other states of the country.

Modi said that a few years ago, Assam and Tripura had the same condition in the neighborhood. But ever since the BJP government has been formed in Assam and Tripura, the public has started getting the benefit of poor welfare schemes. Today, water work is going on fast every house in these states. Under the Ayushman scheme, every poor is getting free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Pucca houses of the poor are being built. He said that in order to benefit the public in Bengal too, it is necessary that there should be a BJP government here too. This is now certain – TMC will go, BJP will come.
