The BJP on Friday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and sent to jail in the West Bengal Teacher Recruitment Scam case.
Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukant Majumdar said that Mamata Banerjee will be the second Chief Minister to go to jail in the teacher recruitment scam case.
The late Om Prakash Chautala, who was the four -time Chief Minister of Haryana, went to jail in 2013 in one such case.
In fact, On 3 April, the Supreme Court upheld the Kolkata High Court’s decision related to West Bengal’s school recruitment scam. In this, SSC appointed 25 thousand teachers and non-teachers in 2016.
The High Court had dismissed the employees, calling these appointments illegal. On the court’s decision, Mamta said that she does not personally accept the Supreme Court’s decision.

Majumdar said- out of 26 thousand recruitment, about 20 thousand was selected correctly, while the scam of the rest of TMC leaders got the benefit. The entire cabinet involved in corruption should be sent to jail.
He said, ‘The Calcutta High Court had suggested the state government to identify the candidates who were recruited in corrupt ways. However, the state government refused to consider this, due to which the appointment of all the candidates was abolished.
Majumdar said that the government should still find such a legal possibility to save the future of real candidates.

He questioned whether the opposition BJP and CPM want the education system of Bengal to be destroyed.

Sambit Patra said- If there is a sense of responsibility, then leave the post
Commenting on Mamta Banerjee, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that if the BJP comes to power in the state, no one can save Banerjee from the law.
Patra said- Mamata Banerjee now has no right to stay in power. If there is a sense of responsibility in them, then they should leave the post. She will definitely go to jail. After the decision, Banerjee’s credibility and validity is over.
Patra said that if Mamta is not obeying the order of the Supreme Court, then the Supreme Court should accuse her of contempt of court. He said- Innocent employees dismissed should be paid salary from the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
