Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over a murder incident in Mokama and said that if such a crime can be committed despite heavy security arrangements, then the question arises whether there is Jungle Raj or Mangal Raj in the state. The SP chief questioned the law and order situation and asked how such crimes could take place in areas where top leaders, including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, were campaigning.

Speaking to ANI in Darbhanga, Akhilesh said that in a place where the Prime Minister and the Home Minister are campaigning, where such VIPs with Z+ security are present – if a murder happens in such a place, it shows whether it is ‘Jungle Raj’ or ‘Mangal Raj’. The SP chief’s comments come after a man named Dularchand Yadav was found dead and several others injured in a clash between alleged supporters of Jan Suraj Party and Janata Dal (United) in Mokama assembly constituency on October 30.
Akhilesh Yadav further said that the people of Bihar are ready to vote for “change and prosperity” and elect Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav as the next Chief Minister. He said, “The people of Bihar are going to vote for change, prosperity, making Tejashwi Yadav the Chief Minister, cheap electricity and 200 units of free electricity. The youth of Bihar are going to vote for their future and better employment opportunities. This time the public will teach a lesson to those who gave rise to migration.” Meanwhile, BJP national president and Union Minister JP Nadda on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), terming the tenure of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi as a “dark era” for Bihar.

Addressing a public meeting in Siwan virtually, Nadda said that during his rule the state faced failures on every front and urged voters to support Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for continued progress and stability. He said that from 1990 to 2005, the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi was a dark era for Bihar; During that time Bihar suffered all kinds of losses. It suffered every kind of insult… but under the leadership of Nitish Kumar for 20 years and Prime Minister Modi for 11 years, Bihar has seen its development vehicle coming back on track.
