Bihar: Villages are getting facilities for cities from Chief Minister Gram Sampark Yojana

The dream of connecting the villages of Bihar to the mainstream of development is becoming increasingly realized. The resolve to connect the rural areas of the state with perennial paved roads has now become a reality under the Bihar government’s “Mukhyamantri Gram Sampark Yojana”. With this scheme, along with the development of traffic facilities in the villages, all facilities like cities are being available to the rural population. With the construction of a total of 33 thousand, 821 kilometers of rural roads across the state, the progress of the Chief Minister’s Gram Scheme has been very encouraging. So far, construction work of 24,289 rural roads has been completed under this scheme. While the target is to construct a total of 31 thousand, 590 roads.

The Chief Minister Gram Scheme (MMGSY) provides perennial road connectivity to settlements and tolls in rural areas which are not included in the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The scheme is funded by the state government and has been implemented with the aim of resolving transport challenges of rural population, improving access to health services and promoting economic development of rural areas.

Contact given to more than 28 thousand tola or villages

With this scheme, more than 28 thousand villages, settlements and tolls of the state have been given contact, which has a total length of 33,821 km. Apart from this, construction of 165 small and big bridges has also been successfully completed. The construction of these rural roads has not only improved traffic in rural areas of the state, but also access to essential services like agriculture, health and education.

These districts became the most rural roads

Most rural roads have been constructed every year in Madhubani district, which has been facing flood tragedy under the Chief Minister’s Gram Sampark Yojana. A target was set to construct a total of 2040 rural roads in Madhubani. The total length of which is 2791.44 km. A total of 1561 roads have been completed. The total length of which is 2220.16 km. The construction of the remaining roads is also now in its final stages. Similarly, the target was to construct a total of 1827 rural roads in Muzaffarpur district, which has a total length of 2593.54 km. In which a total of 1620 roads have been completed. The total length of which is 2342.08 km. 1255 has been completed in a total of 1720 roads to be constructed in East Champaran. The total length of which is 1937.18 km. While 1202 roads have been constructed in Saran in a total of 1349. The total length of which is 1445.99 km. In this way, a total of 1075 roads in Darbhanga, which are 1413.13 km, have been constructed. On the other hand, vehicles are filling up vehicles on rural roads of 2136.95 km in Araria for a total of 1099 roads. While the construction of a total of 1041 roads in Purnia, which is 1716 km, has been completed. 1250 roads (total length 1517 km) in Katihar are ready. A total of 720 rural roads have been constructed in Gaya ji, which is 849.36 km in length.
