A few days after the RJD was expelled, former Bihar minister and MLA Tej Pratap Yadav ralled a new banner in Mahua, indicating that he may contest the upcoming assembly elections alone. After separating from RJD, at his first rally, Tej Pratap and his supporters appeared with green and white colored flags, on which Team Tej Pratap Yadav was written. This unique leader of Bihar was wearing his distinguished green hat, when he was doing a road show in his former constituency Mahua, where he was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic supporters.

After his roadshow, Tej Pratap Yadav inspected the construction work at Mahua Medical College and interacted with the public. Tej Pratap Yadav did not use RJD flag and banner. The flag of Tej Pratap team was seen during this tour. When asked about changing the flag, Yadav said that I had come to see the medical college in Mahua. We promised during the election that we would give medical colleges, and now it is ready. Whatever I promise, I fulfill it. On the question of contesting elections, he said that from which field I will contest elections, it will depend on the demand of the public. Whether I will contest on party ticket or not, it will be decided later.

Even before this, there were reports that Tej Pratap can form a new political party, especially when RJD has closed his doors for him. After making a public announcement of her relationship with Anushka Yadav in May 2025, Lalu Yadav expelled Tej Pratap for six years from RJD and family for six years. His brother Tejashwi Yadav, often considered the face of the RJD, publicly supported his father’s decision, which further strengthened the speculation of possible changes in the political scenario.
