The Bihar government has brought a better opportunity for those who want to become financially empowered through fisheries. The Bihar government is going to provide free training for fisheries. For this, the Department of Animal and Fisheries Resources has invited applications under Fisheries Training and Dissemination Scheme 2025-26. This initiative of the government will not only increase the income of fish parents but will also promote fisheries production.

To take advantage of fisheries training and spread scheme https://fisheries.bihar.gov.in/ You have to apply online. The last date to apply is 31 December 2025. This fisheries training is completely free, in which no amount is being charged in addition to the beneficiary’s registration fee. Under the fisheries training program, a total of 9,455 fishermen farmers/fishermen of the state will be trained in a total of 317 batches in reputed fisheries institutions outside the state and inside the state. Under this training scheme, the trainees will be given route expenses to visit and go to the training institutes outside the state only.
Registration fee is up to Rs 100-250
Trainees taking training at Central Fisheries Education Institute, Kikinada will deposit one hundred and fifty rupees (250) and all other training institutes/centers for their registration, and the trainees taking training in all other training institutes will deposit one hundred rupees (100) registration fee in the District Fisheries Office of their district.

Priority will be given to the trainer for the first time
Interested trained fishermen can be selected for again after three years. At the same time, priority will be given to interested farmers who are training for the first time in selection. The interested fisheries of the state who are doing fisheries work on private/lease or government pond/burning. They can apply for the Block Level Fisheries Cooperation Committee. Interested farmers who want to do fisheries and are selected by the concerned District Fisheries Office to get the benefits of the schemes related to bank loan or fisheries, they will be eligible for training on priority basis or in the concerned office.
