Bihar Governor said- Waqf properties of Allah: It should also be used for non-Muslims, it should be used for the poor- Patna News

Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has supported the Waqf Amendment Bill passed from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. He said- Waqf’s properties are considered to be of Allah. It should be used for the poor, needy and public interest. Non -Muslims also

.

The Governor said that India is a democratic country. Has the right to protest. Everyone has the right to speak. I was with the Waqf Department when I was a minister in UP. All the time I had to meet people whose property cases were going on.

The governor said that there was a lot of improvement. This Waqf Amendment Bill is a step in this direction. The Governor arrived at the state ceremony on the 118th birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Jagjivan Ram in Patna.

Waqf is right for both fakir and Misskin

Referring to the verse of the Quran, the Governor said that ‘it mentions two types of needy- fakir (Muslim) and Misskin (non-Muslim). This means that every needy has the right to benefit from Waqf. Not on the basis of religion. There is a lot of property of Waqf in Patna, but tell me there is one institution that is working for the poor. Only the lawsuit is being held among themselves.

Questioning the validity, he said that the concept of Waqf was once considered non-Islamic even in Muslim countries, but in 1913 the Act appearing by Mohammad Ali Jinnah gave it validity. Now tell me, what should be its direction.

Questions have been raised on Waqf before

Earlier on April 3, the Governor of Bihar said- I stayed in the Waqf Ministry in UP for some time. I did not see anything other than the case. The Muslim Women’s Safety Act was passed in 1980.

It said, ‘If there is no one to take care of the divorced woman, then she will be given an allowance from the Waqf Board. Two years later, I asked in Parliament what provision the Waqf Board has made and how much amount is given to a divorced woman as a allowance.

I got the answer that no Waqf Board has made a provision of one penny. The condition of the Waqf Board is that he has so much assets and does not have money to pay salaries.
