Bihar Elections: Chirag Paswan cornered Congress, said- clap on insulting Biharis

Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president Chirag Paswan on Thursday accused the Congress of misbehaving with Biharis and said when Biharis are “mistreated” in other states, its leaders clap. The LJP (Ram Vilas) chief was in Chapra to take part in the NDA campaign for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking to ANI, Paswan said that I entered politics because Biharis are insulted in other states. The way even the word “Bihari” was turned into an abuse, and sadly all the ruling parties were in the same position. The Prime Minister mentioned how the Congress Chief Minister of Punjab, in the presence of a member of the Gandhi family, was threatening Biharis not to enter Punjab, while Congress members applauded.

Chirag Paswan said that all this shows that when Congress treats Biharis like this in Telangana, then how can they come to Bihar to ask for votes? Rather, the public should ask, when the Chief Minister of your party abuses Biharis in other states, these people clap, and the same Congress leaders come here. Paswan further said that Bihar Assembly elections will mark the beginning of a new phase of development of Bihar. He said that this election and the next five years will be the golden period for Bihar. The swearing-in ceremony to be held after November 14 will not just be the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister and the Cabinet, but it will be the ceremony of laying the foundation of a developed Bihar.

Meanwhile, former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Rabri Devi on Thursday expressed confidence in the victory of her son and Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, saying that the people of Bihar have made up their mind to make her the Chief Minister. Asked about her elder son and expelled RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav contesting the elections separately from JJD (Janshakti Janata Dal), Rabri Devi said he is right in his place. The grand alliance has already declared RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate and Mukesh Sahni as its deputy chief ministerial candidate. On Tuesday, the grand alliance, while addressing a joint press conference in Patna, released its manifesto titled ‘Bihar’s stunning pledge’, outlining key promises ahead of the elections.
