Union Minister Chirag Paswan said on Sunday that the people of Bihar have to decide from which seat they should contest in the assembly elections to be held later this year. Food Processing Industry Minister Paswan made this statement at a rally in Ara in Bhojpur district, where his party Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) blew the election bugle. He said, “I will contest the assembly elections in Bihar. I will not only contest in Bihar but for Bihar and its people. I am the son of Ram Vilas Paswan. I will realize my father’s dreams and work for ‘Bihar first, Bihari first’ to change Bihar.” He said, “The people of Bihar have to decide which seat of the state should contest the assembly elections. Whenever I take a political decision, I take it in the interest of the state and its people.”

Paswan said that his party would make every effort to ensure that the NDA will win by a huge margin in the assembly elections. He said, “My alliance is only with the people of Bihar, I will contest all the 243 seats to strengthen the NDA. I will live and die for the people of Bihar and the state … for the pride of the state.” Paswan also clarified that his plan to contest from the unreserved constituency should not be seen as an ambition to become the Chief Minister.
