In the presence of state cooperative minister Dr. Prem Kumar, on Tuesday, Bihar State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (BSCB) in Patna took important initiative towards providing all kinds of insurance services to its customers on the bank branch itself. Under this, a formal agreement was signed between Bihar State Co-operative Bank Ltd. and SBI General Insurance Company Ltd. after registration from Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

Through this partnership, now Bihar State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (BSCB) will be provided with banking services to its customers as well as complete facilities of general insurance. Now customers can take advantage of health, accident, agriculture and other general insurance schemes from their nearest branch of Bihar State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (BSCB). This initiative will not only provide protection to the planets and their families, but will also strengthen the trust and relationship between the bank and the customer.
On this occasion, Honorable Minister, Cooperative Department, Dr. Prem Kumar expressed happiness over the signing of formal agreement between Bihar State Co-operative Bank Ltd. and SBI General Insurance Company Ltd. (SBI GIC), expressing happiness and said that “This historical step of Bihar State Cooperative Bank will have the realization and strengthening of cooperative banks. Services will be available in a comfortable and transparent manner. This initiative will prove to be a milestone towards the expansion of banking services as well as the last person of the society that the department of cooperatives will be available to every beneficiary.

With SBI General Insurance, this tie up is a big step in this direction, which will be successful in bringing positive changes in the lives of millions of customers in the coming times. With the launch of this insurance scheme, the bank is not only providing safety guarantee to customers, but is also taking a pledge to make them socio-economicly more empowering them.

Today’s program was presided over by Mr. Ramesh Chandra Choubey, President of Bihar State Cooperative Bank Limited (BSCB). In the program, Secretary, Cooperative Department, Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Registrar, Cooperation Committees, Mr. Anshul Aggarwal, Managing Director, Bihar State Cooperative Bank Ltd, Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, SBI General Insurance Executive Vice President and Business Head Mrs. Priya Kumar and Head-RAAD-RAAD-RAAD-AGRICARANCUTUTURE Other officials of the Cooperative Department including Singh and the officials of the bank and insurance company were present. Along with this, the presidents of District Central Cooperative Bank, Gopalganj, Pataliputra and Vaishali were also present in this program.
