According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, the campaign is being run in two phases – the initial phase from September 15 to September 30 and the implementation phase from October 2 to October 31. According to government instructions, the Ministry of External Affairs has informed all its offices including Indian missions and centers located abroad as well as regional passport offices to identify specific goals during the preparation period.

These include reviewing and streamlining official records, resolving long pending public grievances, responding to the requests of MPs and state governments and fulfilling parliamentary assurances.The campaign also emphasized general office cleanliness, better office management and beautification of workplaces. The release said, “The special campaign is being held in two phases. The initial phase will be held from September 15, 2025 to 30 September, 2025; followed by the implementation phase from October 2, 2025 to 31 October, 2025. The Ministry of External Affairs has included all its offices, including Mission/Center and Regional Passport Office, abroad.

Review of records; Pending complaints, references and parliamentary assurances of MPs/state governments; cleanliness; office management; And in the initial phase, it is reported to identify the goals regarding beautification of the office space. “A significant area of attention under the special campaign 5.0 will identify and safe settlement of electronic waste (e-waste). Along with operating goals, the Ministry will also carry out awareness activities to promote hygiene in its diplomatic missions and centers worldwide.
