Big news on Bihar elections: Political parties demanded voting after Chhath festival

Under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar, all recognized political parties of Bihar, Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi, Bihar Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Singh Gunjyal and senior officials of the Commission were successfully discussed successfully. During this conversation, the Election Commission said that political parties are the cornerstone of democracy and all parties should ensure their participation in each stage of transparent electoral process.

The Election Commission urged the voters to celebrate the election celebration with harmony and respect and to experience the transparency of elections. It also urged political parties to ensure that they appoint polling agents at each polling station. Political parties thanked the Election Commission for taking “historical, transparent and firm” steps to purify the voter list through special intensive revision (SIR) and reiterated their full commitment and confidence in the electoral process. He also thanked the Election Commission for determining the maximum number of voters per polling station.

In addition, representatives of various political parties demanded elections immediately after Chhath festival to ensure maximum voter participation and suggested the election to be held as much as possible. The parties also appreciated several recent initiatives by the Election Commission, including the counting of postal ballots and reforms related to the use of Form 17C. All political parties reiterated their full confidence in the Election Commission and expressed confidence that the upcoming Bihar elections would be held in independent, fair and completely transparent ways.

Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said on Saturday that the party has requested the Election Commission to hold the upcoming Bihar assembly elections in a single phase, citing better law and order of the state. After a meeting between the Election Commission and recognized political parties in Patna, Jha told reporters, “We spoke before the Election Commission. Special intensive revision (SIR) has been done in Bihar and Bihar will show the country how SIR is done. We have urged that elections should be held in Bihar in a phase.”

Emphasizing the security system in the state being favorable for smooth voting, Jha said, “Law and order in Bihar is in good condition. If elections can be held in Maharashtra in a phase, then why not in Bihar?” Earlier, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal said on Saturday that the Election Commission has requested political parties to ensure that their polling agent should submit Form 17C after the voting ends, as the Election Commission will now announce the dates of Bihar assembly elections at any time.
