A major action has been taken against the strike going on in Punjab against the cancellation of tenders for km-scheme buses. Panbus Jalandhar-1 Depot President Bikramjit Singh has been suspended due to non-attendance on duty. Along with this, it is being told that all the employees involved in the strike have been suspended. The department has informed the action by sending an email to all the raw employees.
The email states that the employees have caused financial loss to the government by participating in the illegal strike. Fines have been imposed for not plying buses on the route and all the employees involved have been suspended from service with immediate effect.
In the letter regarding the suspension of the employees, it is said that they have disturbed people traveling in government buses in Punjab. Due to your strike, people faced difficulties in commuting. Therefore action is being taken against you.
The strike by Kacha Roadways employees is illegal. You are hereby informed that on 28th November, 2025 hundreds of buses did not ply from various depots due to illegal strike. This resulted in a financial loss of ₹9,520 per bus day to the government in terms of bus station charges, fares, overtime, salaries etc. As a result, the department incurred a financial loss of ₹11,939 per bus in two days.

The letter said that the transport department had issued a notice on November 28, directing you to report for duty immediately. However, you remained absent from your duty route on November 29 as well, resulting in 301 kilometers of duty missed per bus. This is a breach of condition 15 of the agreement between the department and you. Employees are being fired for financial loss and participation in an illegal strike.
