Big action of Delhi Crime Branch, more than 1,600 kg adulterated ghee seized, six arrested

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police, along with the Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI), seized 1,625 kg adulterated ghee from three different places in the city. Six people have been arrested in this case. DCP Crime Branch Vikram Singh gave information in this regard on Thursday.
The police have arrested a total of six people for making adulterated ghee and selling. These include Shafiq from Mustafabad, as well as Yusuf Malik and his son Mehboob. Shakir, Sharukh, and Jamaluddin have been arrested from third place.

DCP Vikram Singh revealed that these accused used to mix ‘Dalda’ and vegetable oil and add harmful chemicals to it, so that the mixture would look like real ghee, which is a dangerous adulteration method.
This police campaign is an important step against adulteration in food items. The seized ghee has been sent for further investigation.
