Neelam Ben Parikh, the great -grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, died on Tuesday at the age of 93. Neelam Ben was the granddaughter of Haridas Gandhi, son of Mahatma Gandhi. She was living in Navsari district with her son, Dr. Sameer Parikh.
Neelam Ben, influenced by the rites of his mother Ramiben and father Yogendrabhai Parikh, assimilated the Gandhian values since childhood. He made several efforts for the welfare and education of women. She remained associated with various social organizations and did important work in the fields of women’s education, self -reliance and health.
