Police have seized cannabis from shops in Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra. Three people have also been arrested after the raid. Police said on Sunday that three shops were raided in Yevai Naka area of Bhiwandi on the night of 9 May. During this period, 2.9 kg of hemp of Rs 59,000 was seized from the shops and Rs 3.11 lakh cash was recovered from the three accused. A case has been registered against the three under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
