The district court in Jalandhar has acquitted Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara in the FIR registered in Bhogpur police station, giving a big relief. Today, Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajeev Kumar pronounced the verdict in a case registered under Sections 17, 18 and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Arms Act in 2009 at Bhogpur police station.
The court acquitted Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara due to lack of evidence based on the charges. Bhai Jagtar Singh appeared today through video conferencing from Burail Jail and his lawyer SKS Hundal appeared on his behalf and gave this information.
Let it be known that Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara was also one of the main accused in the murder of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. Along with them, Jagtar Singh Hawara and Paramjit Singh Bhiora were also involved in the Burail jail breakout.
