The Tata Tigor EV’s ex-showroom price in India starts at Rs 11.99 lakh, which is the price of the base XE trim. The XM trim is priced at Rs 12.49 lakh ex-showroom. While the XZ+ trim is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Tigor EV comes with a 26kWh liquid-cooled battery that produces 55kW of power and churns out 170Nm of torque. In addition, this battery comes with an IP67 rating, which keeps the battery waterproof. It features Tata’s high voltage architecture – ZipTron – which helps the EV to support fast charging. With the help of fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 60 minutes. This EV has an ARAI certified 306km full charge range.

Inside the Tigor EV is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with iRA connected car technology along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. In the global market, Kona Electric is available with 100kW and 150kW electric motors. Out of these, the 100 kW motor is coupled with a 39 kWh battery pack, which generates 136 PS of power. At the same time, the 150 kW motor gets power from 64 kWh battery pack and it generates 204 PS of power. However, in India, the car has been brought only with the version with 100 kW motor. The company claims that this car gives a range of 452 km in a single charge. Thus, it is the car with the highest range under Rs 25 lakh.

This battery pack from Kona Electric takes about 6 hours to get fully charged. Although the 50 kW DC fast charger will charge this car from 0 to 80 percent within just an hour, but at present these DC chargers are available only at Hyundai dealerships and Indian Oil stations in select cities. The car also comes with a 2.8 kW portable charger, which is a regular wall socket charger and takes about 19 hours to fully charge the car.

The car is equipped with four driving modes namely Eco, Eco Plus, Comfort and Sport. It gets paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, so that you can control the regenerative braking system at multiple levels. The electric car comes with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist control and vehicle stability management.
