This electric car is powered by a 3 phase permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is capable of generating 127bhp max power and 245Nm peak torque. It gets a 30.2kWh Lithium Ion battery, due to which this Tata EV can run 312 km on a single charge.

Tata Tigor EV

The Tata Tigor EV’s ex-showroom price in India starts at Rs 11.99 lakh, which is the price of the base XE trim. The XM trim is priced at Rs 12.49 lakh ex-showroom. While the XZ+ trim is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh ex-showroom. Customers who are willing to buy the car in dual-tone color option, will be available for purchase in the XZ+ Dual Tone variant at 13.14 ex-showroom rate.

The Tigor EV comes with a 26kWh liquid-cooled battery that produces 55kW of power and churns out 170Nm of torque. In addition, this battery comes with an IP67 rating, which keeps the battery waterproof. It features Tata’s high voltage architecture – ZipTron – which helps the EV to support fast charging. With the help of fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 60 minutes. This EV has an ARAI certified 306km full charge range.

Inside the Tigor EV is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with iRA connected car technology along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. To handle the audio, 4 speakers and 4 Twitter setup have been given. It also gets automatic climate control and a digital instrument cluster. For safety, the Tigor EV comes with dual airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), rear parking camera with parking sensors and seat belt reminder for the front passenger. MG ZS EV was launched in India in January last year, after which the company launched the facelift of this car in February this year. It is priced at Rs 20.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) in India and comes equipped with power and range as well as luxury interiors.

Coming to power and features. The electric motor included in the latest model of MG ZS EV is capable of generating 143PS of max power and 350Nm of peak torque and thanks to this the car can accelerate to 100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. This includes a 44.5 KWH hi-tech battery pack that can deliver a maximum range of 419 kms. It takes 40 minutes to charge it from 0-80 percent. It works on automatic transmission. It gets 6 airbags. It has a ground clearance of 177mm, which is quite high in comparison to other cars in the segment.

It gets an 8-inch infotainment system along with a segment first dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The leather seats give it a luxury feel. Heated and power foldable ORVMs are also its specialty. Hyundai Kona Electric

Hyundai Kona Electric price in India starts from ₹ 23.79 Lakh (Ex-showroom) and the top model is available at ₹ 23.97 Lakh (Ex-showroom).

The company has introduced the Indian model with a slightly different powertrain as compared to the international model. In the global market, Kona Electric is available with 100kW and 150kW electric motors. Out of these, the 100 kW motor is coupled with a 39 kWh battery pack, which generates 136 PS of power. At the same time, the 150 kW motor gets power from 64 kWh battery pack and it generates 204 PS of power. However, in India, the car has been brought only with the version with 100 kW motor. The company claims that this car gives a range of 452 km in a single charge. Thus, it is the car with the highest range under Rs 25 lakh.

This battery pack from Kona Electric takes about 6 hours to get fully charged. Although the 50 kW DC fast charger will charge this car from 0 to 80 percent within just an hour, but at present these DC chargers are available only at Hyundai dealerships and Indian Oil stations in select cities. The car also comes with a 2.8 kW portable charger, which is a regular wall socket charger and takes about 19 hours to fully charge the car.

The car is equipped with four driving modes namely Eco, Eco Plus, Comfort and Sport. It gets paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, so that you can control the regenerative braking system at multiple levels. The electric car comes with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist control and vehicle stability management.

Apart from this, this car comes equipped with features like sunroof, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats and cruise control.
