The Karnataka High Court’s instruction to withdraw the transport strike has been followed. The strike was withdrawn after the court issued a notice on a PIL (PIL) in connection with the ongoing strike. Union leaders claimed that they had not received any notice directly, but after receiving clear instructions from the court, they withdrew the strike and urged the employees to return to work.

Due to this, the protesters started the strike at 6 am, and no date was mentioned when the strike will continue. According to the PTI report, he started an indefinite strike despite the Karnataka High Court’s order to stay the protest. According to data shared by the Transport Department, Kalyan Karnataka region, including Raichur, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Kalburgi and Bidar, has been the most affected by the ongoing bus strike. Passengers going to destinations like Haasan, Madikeri and Sakleshpura had to wait for about two to three hours.

There are demands from protesters:
38 months outstanding salary should be released immediately
Amended pay structure should be implemented from January 1, 2024
Protection from alleged workplace harassment
Company drivers should be appointed in electric buses
