The IPL said in a statement on Tuesday morning that Lucknow Super Giants leg -spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi has been suspended for a match due to a sharp noise with Sunrisers Hyderabad all -rounder Abhishek Sharma and he has been fined 50 percent of the match fee. SRH had a sharp tinge between Digvesh and Abhishek during a six -wicket victory at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

While going out of the field, Abhishek objected to Digvesh’s enthusiastic farewell. The SRH opener, who scored a bang half-century, turned back to his opponent and on-field officials and LSG players separated the two. The statement said that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowler Digvesh Singh has been fined 50 percent of the match fee for violation of the IPL code of conduct.
This was the third time in this IPL season when Digvesh was found guilty of Level 1 crime under Article 2.5. As a result, two demerit marks were added to his disciplinary records which are addition to the first three demerit points – against Punjab Kings on April 1 and against Mumbai Indians on 4 April. Since Digvesh has a total of five demerit points, he has been given a match suspension and will not be part of the LSG’s next IPL match against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

25 -year -old Digvesh has been fined several times for his ‘Notebook’ festival, for which he has also got demerit points. Coming from Delhi, this is his first IPL tenure.
