The treasury of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has received Rs 14,627 crore in the last five years and out of which Rs 4,193 crore has come in the last financial year itself. Thus, the “bank balance” of BCCI has increased to Rs 20,686 crore. This information has been received from a report.
A report by ‘Cricbose’ states that even after paying all the dues to the state units, a huge increase in the general fund was recorded and in 2019 the fund was worth Rs 3,906 crore, which has increased to almost doubled i.e. Rs 7,988 crore in 2024. These figures were shared with the State Association.
According to the report, the accounting presented in the annual general meeting of 2024 (AGM) said that the Honorary Secretary told the members that since 2019, the cash deposits of BCCI and the amount deposited in the bank have increased from Rs 6,059 crore to Rs 20,686 crore.
It said that Rs 6,059 crore was when the state cricket associations were not paid, while Rs 20,686 crore is after paying the dues of the state cricket associations.
