Imran Khan Arrested: The situation has worsened after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Pakistan. In a way, the situation has become like a civil war. In such a situation, army units have been deployed to maintain law and order in the state of Punjab.

Punjab state is the largest state of Pakistan in terms of population. It has 36 districts. The Government of Pakistan imposed military rule under Article 245 of the Constitution and Section 4(3)(ii) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997. Violence broke out after Imran’s arrest

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was arrested from the Islamabad High Court complex on Tuesday afternoon in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case. After this, the Punjab and Balochistan governments implemented Article 144 in their respective states on Tuesday. Internet has been shut down. Angry protesters stormed government buildings and blocked roads in response to Imran Khan’s detention.

Hearing continues in NAB court

While his case against Al-Qadir University Trust is being heard by the Special Accountability Court. Khan is being represented by a team of lawyers, including Khawaja Harris, Barrister Ali Gohar and Advocate Ali Bukhari.

Section 144 also applied in Islamabad

In the meeting of the State Intelligence Committee held under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, important decisions were taken to deal with the law and order situation in the entire state. The Islamabad administration has also imposed Section 144 in the capital region.
