Bathinda, March 14: Bathinda Central Jail authorities issued a statement on Tuesday following the broadcast of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s interview from inside the prison.

ND Negi, Superintendent of Bathinda Jail, clarified that the gangster’s interview with the private news channel is not from Bathinda or any other jail in Punjab.

In addition, IG Jails RK Arora stated that “rumours are taking rounds that the interview was recorded from inside Bhatinda Jail. These rumours are baseless and that this video is not from either Bhatinda Jail where the prisoner is currently confined or from any other Jail in Punjab.”

“It is further clarified that this prisoner is at present confined in the High-Security Zone of Bathinda Jail where strict surveillance is kept over his activities 24Ɨ7,” he added.

This is total breakdown of law in India!”

“I urge @BhagwantMann & @DGPPunjabPolice to clarify their position,” he added.
