Base price fixed for Team India’s jersey sponsor, BCCI expected to get crores of rupees per match

For Team India’s new lead sponsor, BCCI has increased the base price according to the matches. The board has started searching for a new jersey sponsor after the agreement is over with Dream 11. For which new standard and base values have been fixed, which are more than Dream 11 to 10 per cent per match.

With the new jersey sponsor, BCCI will get at least Rs 3 and a half crore for the bilateral series, while the new company for ICC and ACC events will pay at least Rs 1.5 crore per match. BCCI from Dream 11 used to get Rs 3.17 crore for bilateral matches and Rs 1.12 crore for the multification tournament matches. In this way, the base price has been increased by 10 per cent for bilateral matches and about 3 per cent for multinational events.
The base price for bilateral matches and multinational tournament matches is therefore different. Because in the bilateral series matches, the sponsor’s name is in front of the jersey, which leads to more publicity while the Sponsor’s name or logo is on the arm in the World Cup and Asia Cup matches. This reduces brand visibility.
At the same time, according to the report of Cricbuzz, BCCI needs sponsorship for the next three years, including T20 World Cup and ODI Cup 2027.
The Indian team is going to play around 130 matches till 2027. In this way, BCCI can get a deal of more than Rs 400 crore from a new sponsor. The final figure may be even higher. After the bidding process to be held on 16 September, it will be known which company has bought rights at how much price.
