The recovery team of Bank of Baroda in Kapurthala has sealed Kapurthala Haveli on Sultanpur Lodhi Road. This action has been taken due to the owners of the mansion not repaying the bank’s loan.

Bank’s recovery officer Dilip Kumar Singh said that Haveli’s partners Phumman Singh Ghumman and Gurpreet Singh had taken a loan from the bank a few years ago. The loan amount was not deposited despite not paying on time and giving notices several times.
By 10 September 2024, the mansion owners owe 63 lakh 76 thousand 440 rupees 80 paise. On the orders of higher officials, the recovery team has sealed the mansion. Notice of arrears on the building has also been posted.
