A Chittagong court in Bangladesh ordered the arrest of Hindu leader Chinmay Krishna Das. The order was given in the case of the murder of Chittagong Court lawyer Saiful Islam Alif.
The lawyer was allegedly murdered outside the court premises on 7 November last year. The Metropolitan Magistrate of Chittagong approved a police application for arrest and passed the order during the virtual hearing.
According to media reports, the court on Monday approved the arrest in Alif’s murder case after virtual hearing. The other three applications will be heard on Tuesday.
