Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, recently met PM Narendra Modi during Thailand Bimstech.
India has withdrawn the transforce facility (transfer facility) given to Bangladesh. The Central Indirect Taxes and Customs Board issued a circular on 8 April and explained the decision.
Under this arrangement released since 2020, Bangladesh was permission to send its exports cargo to ports and airports in third countries through Indian custom stations.
In fact, Bangladesh’s interim Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus had described the North East states of India on a tour of China a few days ago as landlocked (surrounded by land), after which there was diplomatic tension in both countries.

Bangladeshi exporters will have to pay high cost Trade experts say that this decision of India will affect Bangladeshi exports badly. Ajay Srivastava, founder of Global Research Initiative, said that India had given a systematic way to Bangladesh through trans-showcasting facility.
This led to the reduction of both the transportation costs and time of Bangladeshi goods. Now without this, Bangladesh exporters will have to face delays, high costs and uncertainty in sending goods worldwide including Nepal and Bhutan.
Bangladeshi trucks used to jam cargo terminals On the other hand, Sudhir Sekhari, President of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), which promotes export of Indian clothing, said-

Every 20-30 Bangladeshi trucks come to Delhi, causing jam on cargo terminals and increases the cost of freight.
Director General of Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) Ajay Sahay said-

Now we will have more air capacity for our goods. In the past, the Indian Expo had complained of less space due to the trans-shipment facility provided to Bangladesh.
India has shut down this facility to Bangladesh at a time when the reciperook (eg Tit) tariff (such as Tit) is being implemented from today.

Delhi’s cargo terminals used to jam due to Bangladeshi trucks and Indian exports used to get less space.
Yunus had said- Bangladesh is the patron of the Bay of Bengal Yunus said in China that the North-East states of India, called Seven Sisters, are land locks. They do not have a way to reach the sea. Bangladesh is the only guard of the sea in that region. This gives a big opportunity to invest.
This statement was objected by Sanjeev Sanyal, an economist and member of the Economic Advisory Council of PM Modi. Sanyal had said that China is free to invest in Bangladesh, but the appeal made by Yunus to be locked in the northeastern states of India is surprising.
