In the Test series against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh lost 0–1, while the team has lost the first match in the 3-match ODI series. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has now suffered a major setback, because in the second ODI, he will not get his head coach Phil Simmons.

Currently, Bangladesh’s team is in Sri Lanka, where a multi-format series are to be played between the two. In the Test series, Bangladesh had to face a 0–1 defeat, while the team has lost the first match in the 3-match ODI series. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has now suffered a major setback, because in the second ODI, he will not get his head coach Phil Simmons.

There was speculation that Bangladesh head coach was being invited to review the performance of coaches by BCB President Aminul Islam, but Simmons had an appointment with a doctor in the UK and he would leave for Sri Lanka on Friday to meet him. However, it is expected that Simmons will be available for the third ODI to be played on July 8 and after that they will also be with the team in the T20 series.

Confirming the entire incident, Bangladesh’s team manager said that Phil Simmons was going on a tour for two days for personal reasons, he had an appointment of a doctor in February but he missed him due to the Champions Trophy. Now the appointment with doctors cannot be changed. He tried to change the appointment but for some reason he could not do so. Before the start of the tour, he spoke to the board in this regard and planned. He is going today and will return on 7 July.

The biggest reason for Bangladesh’s defeat in the first ODI against Sri Lanka was the flop of the batsmen. Chasing the target of 245, the Bangladeshi team had scored 100/1 at one time but after that the team lost 7 wickets for the next 5 runs and then the entire innings was reduced to 167. In such a situation, by winning the match to be played on July 5, Bangladesh will try to take the series to a decisive match.
