The film has previously been released on digital platforms under a rental plan. In March, a link was shared from the film’s social media accounts, where the film can be watched. There was also an option to watch the movie on Prime Video and the Google app.

However, one has to spend around Rs 850 to watch the movie on these platforms. After coming to Disney Plus Hotstar, ‘Avatar the Way of Water’ subscribers will be able to watch for free.

‘Avatar The Way of Water’ was released in theaters in India on December 16. The film grossed $2.32 billion worldwide and is the third highest-grossing film in the world. The film is in first place with $2.92 billion and Avengers Endgame is in second place with $2.79 billion.

‘Avatar 2’ was nominated in several categories at this year’s Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Signorie Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet.
