The world’s most powerful and best intelligence agency fails, the multi-foot-high fences on the border are bulldozed. As if it is not the border separating two countries but the wall of someone’s house that is being demolished. Not one, not two, but more than five thousand missiles have been fired at Israel. In no time the streets look like piles of corpses in a morgue. The Israel-Palestine war, which is considered to be the most dangerous ever, seems to blacken humanity.
The most surprising thing is that when Mossad, Israel’s intelligence unit and the world’s best intelligence agency, were asked about the attack, the agency said, ‘We don’t know how it happened’. It’s a bit surprising that an extremist organization invades a country and attacks, kills innocent people and the intelligence agency there says we didn’t even anticipate the attack.
Let us tell you that a few days before the attack, America had warned Israel of the attack, but no action was taken. Several media reports are claiming that intelligence units from both the US and Egypt had warned Israel. But Israel paid no heed to Egypt’s claims. Israel is also said to have the most powerful air defense system. In such a situation, many questions arise as to why Israel could not stop this attack despite warnings and why Mossad failed.
First reason – dependence on electronic devices
The Mossad relies heavily on electronic equipment for its operations. This intelligence agency makes extensive use of mobile phones, landlines, radio sets and radar frequencies. At the same time, it is believed that Hamas terrorists did not use electronic devices to communicate with their top commanders and each other. In such a case, it can be said that this can be one of the reasons for the failure of Mossad.
Second reason – underestimating Hamas
Israel controls many of Gaza’s entry points. Israel has closed all checkpoints since the declaration of war. Israel is believed to have underestimated Hamas’s capabilities as the blockade took hold. In addition, Israel considered Iran-backed Hezbollah a major threat. Meanwhile, Hamas prepared an attack that the Mossad could not foresee.
Third reason – Hamas getting support from other countries
Hamas terrorists attacked from land as well as sea and sky. Hamas terrorists entered Israel by paragliding to cross the border. There is believed to be no airstrip in Gaza where Hamas militants can train. In such a situation, it can be estimated that the terrorists of Hamas would have received training from Iran or any other allied country. The time taken for weapons and paragliding training also shows that the preparations for the attack had been in the works for a long time. Because Hamas got the support of other countries, perhaps that is why the Mossad’s intelligence system also failed.
Terrorist organizations carry out such attacks. They know they will eventually lose a war with a powerful country, but their aim is to spread terror and wage psychological warfare. Israel already has a reputation for not sparing its attackers. But the terror that Hamas terrorists are spreading in Israel is in itself their victory.
