Filmmaker Hamdan Ballal, who won the Oscar for a documentary film No other land in Oscar 2025, was recently attacked by dozens of Israeli migrants. The filmmaker suffered several injuries in the house attack and he bleed a lot. Director Basal Andre has told in an interview to AP that those people were in Hamdan’s house in West Bank, when more than two dozen masked people came there. He had guns and attacked the entire village.

Director Basal Andre also mentioned the incident on social media posts. He wrote, I was standing there with the seven -year -old son of Karam and Hamdan, where he had blood in Hamdan’s house and where he was attacked. Hamdan is one of the 4 co-directors of no other land, who are still missing. Soldiers have taken them, they were injured, they were bleeding. In a statement issued by the Center for Jewish Non Violence, the Israeli migrants attacked Susia village of Masafar Yatta and damaged the property there. In the attack, Hamdan Ballal’s head started bleeding and an ambulance was called for him. At the same time the Israeli army reached and was taken into custody from there.
