Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram wept on Tuesday when he talked about an attempt by a lawyer to throw a shoe at Chief Justice of India BR Gawai. Rama, who is also a Dalit himself, said that this pain occurs to all Dalits. Justice Gawai is a historically oppressed caste group, the second person to become the Chief Justice from Dalits, and the first Buddhist. He further said that this is an attack on the Supreme Court. (And) Millions of Dalits are insulted. He had tears in his eyes.

Rajesh Ram said in a press conference in Patna that we know how much tragedies and how long a person has to bear how long before reaching such a height in the society. Even after that, when the society does not accept it, you also feel humiliated in the boundary wall of your house. He said in Hindi that being a Dalit, what could be more deeply more than this. He further said that we have always suffered discrimination till date, even within the legislatures.
He cried in the middle sentence saying: “We have faced it every day on the streets, but now, with a very heavy heart….” He stayed for a while, his lips were shivering, then he said, “This pain is to all the Dalits who are feeling the effect of the attack on Gawai Saheb.” He further said that there can be no greater example of insult to Dalits. He also said that “he is in a position to share his views in the press conference thanks to the constitution created by Baba Saheb (BR Ambedkar).

Earlier, Delhi’s 71 -year -old lawyer Rakesh Kishore, who tried to attack the Chief Justice, said he had no regrets. The Chief Justice has decided not to accuse, so there is no legal case against the teenager and he was speaking at his house.
