A soldier of Assam Rifles was killed in an attack on a vehicle of paramilitary force in Bishnupur, Manipur. The incident took place at around 6 pm on Friday evening in Nambol Sabal Leikai area of the district. According to media reports, a group of gunmen ambushed the vehicle in which the Assam Rifles jawans were going from Imphal to Bishnupur district. One soldier was killed in the attack, while three others were injured. Assam Rifles personnel were traveling in a 407 Tata vehicle from Imphal when the attack took place in the Nambol police station area around 6 pm.

A group of gunmen ambushed the vehicle in which Assam Rifles personnel were going from Imphal to Bishnupur district. One jawan was killed and three others were injured in this attack. Local people and policemen rushed the injured soldiers to the hospital for treatment. Security forces have reached the spot and the area has been sieged to investigate further.
