Asia Cup: Kuldeep Yadav’s statement after a historic victory over Pakistan, proud of glorious performance

After India’s victory in the Asia Cup 2025, left -arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav shared his feelings after becoming part of an exciting final. He said that the final players are to take the test, and he is really proud of the Indian team’s performance against Pakistan last night. India’s bowling trio, Akshar Patel (2-26), Varun Chakraborty (2-30) and Kuldeep Yadav (4-30) wreaked havoc against Pakistan on a slow pitch in Dubai in the finals and together with eight wickets, the Indian team innings took 146 runs. India finally won by five wickets thanks to Tilak Verma’s unbeaten 69 runs and Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey’s contribution.

Varun made a rhythm by dismissing Dangerous Sahibzada Farhan on a personal score of 57 (38) and broke the initial partnership of 84 runs. Akshar Patel performed well in the middle order, while Kuldeep broke Pakistan’s back by blowing up power-hitters. Kuldeep revealed that before the final, Hari had emphasized his batting length against the Pakistani batsmen. In three consecutive weekends, India defeated Pakistan the same time and won the title with five wickets in the Asia Cup final in Dubai on Sunday. Speaking on India’s victory, Kuldeep Yadav wrote to X, “The finals are to take your exam, we are proud of how strongly we played last night.”

Kuldeep’s efficiency reflected in India’s undefeated performance in the tournament, where he took the highest wicket with 17 wickets at an average of 9.29, while Varun took seven wickets at an average of 20.42.Kuldeep Yadav, Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma received their awards from other dignitaries present on the stage, while Salman accepted the check of the runner-up from PCB President Mohsin Naqvi. Indian players did not thank Naqvi. The ACC president did not appreciate the Indian players who personally came to receive the award. At the end of the ceremony, Simon Dool, a presenter of host broadchers, confirmed that, “I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) that the Indian cricket team will not be able to receive its award tonight. So the performance after the match ends here.”
