Asia cup drama released! Mohsin Naqvi apologizes but adamant on the trophy, BCCI said- impossible

Mohsin Naqvi, an official of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who was at the center of the Asia Cup Trophy controversy, will leave for Lahore today. His visit is taking place at a time when the controversy over the trophy is increasing. Sources have revealed that ACC President Naqvi had suggested that Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav go to Dubai and take the trophy himself. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reacted strongly, saying, “When the trophy was given in front of them, they did not take it – what do you think they will fly now?”

During the ACC meeting on Tuesday, Naqvi apologized to the BCCI and believed that the situation should not have deteriorated in this way. Despite this apology, he has continued to keep the trophy and medals. In response, the BCCI has allegedly decided to take strict action. According to sources, the board is planning to file a formal complaint in Dubai Police, accusing Naqvi of stealing the trophy and keeping illegal. Now the situation is going to deteriorate, and both boards are ready for further quarrels.

Prior to the Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan, Naqvi allegedly posted pictures of some Pakistani cricketers on her social media account, in which they were wearing a fighter suit and the fighter aircraft were seen in the background. This happened when he shared a picture of Cristiano Ronaldo in which an aircraft was seen falling down. Annoyed by Naqvi’s antics, the Indian team refused to share the stage with him after winning the Asia Cup title.

Naqvi, who is also the Home Minister of Pakistan, remained adamant on handing over the trophy and medals himself and thus stopped the award ceremony before it suddenly ended. After this, Naqvi moved out of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium with a trophy and medal for Indian players, which led to a big controversy. Suryakumar later strongly criticized the development. Suryakumar Yadav said in a conversation with the media after the match, “I have never seen any champion (team) winning the trophy. We were entitled to it. The real trophy is my 14 companions and they will always be in my memories.”
