The Gujarat High Court extended Asaram’s temporary bail till 21 August in the Surat rape case. Asaram had requested to increase bail on medical grounds and presented certificates of hospital and doctor. The government lawyer sought time to examine these certificates.
The condition of 86 -year -old Asaram, who is guilty of rape and sentenced to life imprisonment in Gujarat and Rajasthan, remains critical. Therefore, he has been brought to the Civil Hospital for medical examination. Earlier, he was admitted to the ICU of Jupiter Hospital in Indore. The Rajasthan High Court today heard the appeal of Asaram, who was convicted of rape in Gujarat and Rajasthan on 8 August, who was convicted of rape and imprisonment. The court extended his interim bail till 29 August. In addition, the Gujarat High Court extended the temporary bail of Asaram till 21 August in the Surat rape case. Further hearing in this case will be held on August 21, so temporary bail has been extended till then. Thus, the High Court has increased Asaram’s bail for the third time. Earlier on 27 June, the High Court extended the bail till 7 July. After that, on July 3, the High Court extended the bail of Asaram for a month. Now today (August 7, 2025) The bail has been increased for the third time.

Advocate Nishant Borada presented the latest medical report in the court on behalf of Asaram, appearing in the medical report. Earlier, the Gujarat High Court also extended Asaram’s interim bail till 29 August on the same basis. The order issued by the Gujarat High Court states that Asaram’s ‘troponin level’ is very high.
