Her wife was also a very good person and she used to help us a lot during the shooting of films. I was part of almost all the films of Manoj Kumar. If he did ten films, I was in at least nine of them. I believe that when we work with someone, we remember them not only for their work but also for the time spent with them. ‘

A few months ago, my leg was fractured and I was also admitted to the same hospital in which he was also. However, I could not meet him due to my injury. I remember that his lungs were filled with water and he used to come for treatment, stay a few days and then go back home. Aruna said emotionally, we will miss them a lot, but one day we all have to go. ‘

Manoj Kumar was particularly known for his patriotic films. He was also known as Bharat Kumar. Upkar, East-West, Revolution, Roti-Campra and House were his very successful films.

Tomorrow will be Manoj Kumar’s funeral
Manoj Kumar’s funeral will take place at 11 am tomorrow at Pawanhans crematorium in Mumbai. Manoj Kumar was struggling with liver cirrhosis for a long time. He was admitted to the hospital on 21 February 2025 after his condition deteriorated.
Manoj Kumar received 7 Filmfare Awards. The first film Fair was found in 1968 for the film Upkar. Upkar won four film fairs for Best Film, Best Director, Best Story and Best Dialogue. In 1992, he was awarded the Padma Shri. In 2016, he was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
