Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee has emphasized that national security and sovereignty are beyond political differences. Speaking on the attitude of the opposition, Banerjee said that where I can disagree with the ruling party or political party, I will fight them with full force. But when it comes to the national security of my country, I will stand firmly and work for the best interest of my country. I will not let my political interests come in the way of my national interest. Banerjee also drew attention to evidence of support of terrorism from across the border and highlighted the presence of highly placed Pakistani military officers in the funeral of the terrorists.

Banerjee asked that you have so many evidence in the public domain, where you see that the highly placed Pakistani military officers attend the funeral of the labeled terrorists, where else do you see it? TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee highlighted the power of social media in spreading important messages on national security and said that it moves much faster than traditional diplomacy. Reiterating the importance of strong relations, Indian High Commissioner Shilpak Ambule referred to the completion of 60 years of India-Singapur relations, indicating the deepening of relationships in the rapidly changing world. Speaking about the importance of this year, which is also the 60th anniversary of Singapore, Ambule pointed out the major high-level programs including President Therman Shanmugratnaam in January, including India’s state visit to India.

Speaking to the media, Ambule said that India and Singapore are celebrating 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. It is also the 60th birthday of Singapore. President Therman Shanmugratna made a very successful state visit to India in January. We hope that there will be some more high -level trips later this year. We have a very unique mechanism with Singapore called the India-Singapore Rolle table, where 10 ministers are found every year. He has identified six columns of collaboration – digital space, skill development, health, maritime and cooperation in air connectivity, advanced manufacturing and stability.
