Army Chief (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday visited advance posts at the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir and assessed the operations of soldiers in the area. General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS visited advance areas and posts in Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir to assess the operation of units and structures in the area.

Additional Public Information Director of the Indian Army said in a post on the social media forum ‘X’, “Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi today visited the advance areas and posts in the Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir and took stock of the campaign preparations for the soldiers.” The post said that during this time it was said that the Army Chief was informed about the status of the current security land and control lines.

The Chief of Army Staff honored Neha Bhandari, Assistant Commandant of Border Security Force (BSF), with a citation for exceptional courage and efficiency of campaign during Operation Sindoor on the Jammu border. The Assistant Commandant, who took the command of the border outpost near a Pakistani outpost on the international border, led the soldiers to silenced the three advance posts of the enemy across the ‘Zero Line’.
