The Indian Army said on Monday that our indigenous weapons were very effective against Pakistan. Akashtir Defense System and L-70 Air Defense Gun destroyed every drone and missile in Pakistan. Pakistan carried out these attacks on 9–10 May.

A jawan operating L-70 said that this gun is very effective. It can destroy any target. We can set long distance target. Its success rate in killing the enemy drone is 100%. In the future, if the enemy sent drones, missiles, aircraft in India, it will be given a befitting reply.

At the same time, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi arrived in the border area in Longewala, Rajasthan. He praised the soldiers who played an important role in Operation Sindoor and reviewed the joint action taken in association with the Indian Air Force and BSF. The Army, Air Force and BSF jointly thwarted enemy drone attacks in desert areas spread from Jaisalmer to Kutch.

This was General Dwivedi’s fifth visit to the army’s post in five days. Earlier, he reached the posts of Dagger Division in Baramulla on 15 May. On the same day, he visited the posts of Srinagar, Uri and High Bassi and congratulated the soldiers for the success of Operation Sindoor.

Government extended the jurisdiction of CISF till 21 May to investigate cargo, in-line baggage

The central government has extended the order given to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for temporary monitoring of cargo operations and in-line hold baggage superwaizing system at 69 civil airports in the country under the counter terrorist cover.

The Civil Aviation Security Bureau (BCAS) issued an official instruction on 9 May and directed the CISF to do the work by 18 May.

The CISF with about two lakh personnel under the Ministry of Home Affairs is the National Civil Aviation Security Force. It has deployed around 45,000 personnel to protect 69 airports as part of its Aviation Security Group (ASG).
