Veteran actor Satish Shah, who became famous with the film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and serial Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, died of kidney failure in Mumbai on Saturday. The actor was 74 years old. Anupam Kher had a close friendship with Satish Shah, Anupam is extremely shocked by the demise of this veteran actor. Holding back tears, Anupam talked about this painful loss and said that in a matter of a few days the world has lost three celebrities – actor Asrani, advertising guru Piyush Pandey and now Satish Shah.

Anupam Kher, who is in Switzerland, told that he is going to one of the famous places where “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” was shot. He told that he was jumping with joy when a message came on his phone with the heartbreaking news of Satish Shah’s demise. In the emotional video, Anupam is heard saying, “What is happening? We lost three wonderful people in three days. I knew all of them. There is a lot of sadness hidden in my smile.” Recalling their fun-filled friendship, he added, “Every time I would call him, I would say, ‘Satish, my Shah!’ And he would reply, ‘My place!'” Kher said, “I wear glasses, otherwise these tears won’t look right. He had great knowledge. He was aware of everything.”

Further, Anupam said, “Aise thode na hota? Aise nahi jaana hota. You have no right, to go like this suddenly. There is no right. Madhu (Shah), I feel very bad. It is a very painful moment for you. There are no words for the loss of Satish Shah. He was the most amazing actor and human being.”

The last rites of the late actor will be held on Sunday, October 26 at 12 noon at S.V., Vile Parle (West), Mumbai. It will be held at Pawan Hans cremation ground located on the road. Satish Shah is survived by his wife Madhu Shah. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit confirmed the news of his demise on Instagram. In his video, Ashok Pandit told that Satish Shah died due to kidney failure. His health suddenly deteriorated at home and he was taken to Hinduja Hospital. He died in the hospital. Pandit called it a huge loss for the film and television industry.

Sharing the news of Satish Shah’s demise, Ashok Pandit wrote, “It is sad and shocked to inform you that our dear friend and a wonderful actor Satish Shah passed away a few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was taken to Hinduja Hospital where he breathed his last. A huge loss for our industry. Om Shanti.”
